Athletes
Assistance Plan (AAP) Funding
Toby
reported that the WKABC received funding for 2006 and did not cash the cheque, so Sport BC cancelled the cheque and
had now offered the funding to CKBC Whitewater to disperse to the athletes. Toby
and Andrew will choose a application format to send out and athletes will fill it in and then it will be evaluated and the
monies dispersed. There is $2500 with the minimum amount that can be handed out
being $500. It was recommended that 5-- $500 grants be used to disperse the monies. The application should be updated for 2007/2008 years.

- is through fundraising. This money is divided
equally between all who participate in the fundraising and are under 23 years of age and a CCE member in good standing.
- is through CCE funds set out in the criteria for Club Funded Travel Grants. The amount is to be determined by the board of directors for the following
criteria. CCE member of good standing on the BC Whitewater Slalom Team,
who is under 23 years of age during the current year, and is traveling to an out of province Canadian National Team Trials,
or Canadian National Championship, or to the Junior Olympics for Cadet or Junior athletes.

and the money raised in fundrasers go to athletes who are active paddlers this year and fundraised.
